A narrow vertical reflection of the sky and surrounding landscape was seen by visitors approaching the entrance to The Watermill Center from a distance. As one came closer it became perceivable that the entrance stairs were clad in mirrors. Each vertical surface of the steps in the stairs was clad with a slightly angled sheet of mirror. Walking up the stairs visitors would see themselves and their surroundings sequentially reflected and fragmented. Visitors experienced seeing themselves arriving within their surroundings as they ascended the entrance path.
